  1. 设置数据库表前缀

    编辑 app/environment.rb，加入

     config.active_record.table_name_prefix = ‘prefix’

    同样，设置后缀

     config.active_record.table_name_suffix = ‘suffix’

  2. 解决数据库乱码

    无非是set names utf-8：

    编辑app/controllers/application.rb，加入before_filter，对数据库执行set names查询，例如：

     class ApplicationController < ActionController::Base
 before_filter :set_default_charset
   def set_default_charset
     ActiveRecord::Base.connection.execute ‘SET NAMES utf8’;
   end
 end

  3. rails 2已经不支持传统的scaffold写法，不过不是不能用scaffold，而是更简单：

     scripts/generate scaffold book

    一句？真的只有一句

  4. rails自动管理的数据库表字段

     created_on, updated_on : date格式更新
 created_at, updated_at : time格式更新
 lock_version : 版本锁定
 id : 主键
 xxxx_id : 外键
 xxxx_count : 子表xxxx的计数器
 parent_id : act_as_tree的parent id
 position ： act_as_list时的position

    还有些不常用的： type，lft，rgt，quote_value，template
